Worldwide Flight in deals with Lufthansa and KLM

Worldwide Flight Services has won two new cargo-handling contracts from Lufthansa Cargo and KLM, further strengthening its cargo presence in North America.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, KLM Cargo has joined its partner Air France in awarding WFS a contract to handle cargo carried on its twice-daily services linking Dallas and Amsterdam. Air France originally appointed WFS for ramp handling in June 2006.

Under terms of the two-year agreement with KLM, WFS expects to handle more than 9,000 tons of cargo a year for the airline, in addition to the 4,000 tons already handled each year for Air France.

Lufthansa Cargo has appointed WFS at Orlando International Airport to handle freight carried on board its five A330 flights per week from Frankfurt. The contract will see WFS handle in excess of 2,500 tons of air freight a year for the airline.
