Wright relieves Deverill as Military Sealift commander in Europe
U.S. Navy Capt. David K. Wright has taken over from Capt. Dirk P. Deverill as commander, Military Sealift Command, Europe. Wright will be based at the Naval Support Activity headquarters in Capodichino, near Naples, Italy.
Wright was senior navy analyst and chief of the combatant command liaison branch for the Force Structure, Resources and Assessment Directorate, Joint Staff, in Washington, D.C. His previous assignment at sea was commanding officer of the 'USS Robert G. Bradley' (FFG 49).
Deverill reports to the office of the Secretary of Defense, U.S. delegation to NATO, in Brussels.
