WWL boosts North America-to-Oceania frequency

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics said it is increasing the frequency of its North America-to-Oceania trade to four sailings per month.

The roll-on/roll-off carriers said shippers will benefit by one added monthly call in the ports of Baltimore, Savannah, Panama, Auckland, Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne and Fremantle.

WWL said this spring it will put a “Mark V” vessel into the trade, which it said is the newest and largest ro/ro vessel in the world. The Mark V design boasts more than 50,000 square meters in deck area and a 12-meter-wide ramp with a weight capacity of 500 tons.
