WWPC sees market growth in oversize project cargos

Worldwide Project Consortium Ltd. a project forwarding and logistics management company based in Brisbane, Australia, expects to see a strong demand for its members’ services over the next year fueled by the need for power plants, and equipment for the oil and gas industries.

Kevin Stephens, WWPC’s general manager, told members gathered for the consortium’s recent annual Partnering for the Future conference in Cape Town, South Africa, that project cargo enquiries included supporting major mining and infrastructure projects, and the reconstruction of Afghanistan and Iraq.

“Members have already demonstrated success in the movement of heavy-lift, outsize cargo and this is generating new business,” Stephens said.

Membership to the WWPC, which now has 99 specialist project offices in 85 countries, is by invitation only.
