Xata Turnpike integrates with TMWSuite

   Xata Corp., a provider of fleet optimization software, said its Xata Turnpike fleet management software is now integrated with TMW Systems’ TMWSuite of transportation management software.
   The companies said they hoped the integration will improve efficiency, productivity, and convenience for drivers and fleet managers by automating various functions throughout the load-planning and back-end processes.
   Kirsten Lester, Xata’s senior integration program manager, said the companies have a strong relationship and they plan to make future improvements on these systems together.
   The service will be powered by Xata Turnpike’s GPS data, allowing the TMWSuite to detect site arrival and departure events and update loads in dispatch systems without manual involvement. This should improve accuracy as well as free up dispatchers from the need to do check calls. Xata Turnpike’s hours-of-service data also assists dispatchers with load planning by organizing driver availability based on available hours. – Geoff Whiting
