Yamagata takes over from Hiroyuki Shimizu who is returning to NYK’s headquarters in Tokyo to take up the position of director and managing corporate officer, in charge of NYK’s logistics division and it’s logistics integrator project.
Yamagata joined NYK in 1991 after it took over Y.S. Line. He was most recently president and CEO of NYK Logistics (Americas) Inc., based in Long Beach. He has also served as managing director of NYK Logistics Europe.
