Yang Ming to transport Taiwan typhoon aid for free    Taiwan-based ocean carrier Yang Ming said Friday it is offering free container transportation for aid shipments to its typhoon-stricken home.
   'In light of disastrous catastrophe caused by typhoon Morakot in southern Taiwan, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. has immediately decided to offer free ocean container transportation services,' the carrier said. 'Full container services for international aid coming from global relief and philanthropy organizations and foreign governments at direct Yang Ming loading ports overseas to Kaohsiung, Keelung and Taichung harbors in Taiwan are readily available at the moment for upcoming two months.
   'The two-month free shipping duration is extendable depending upon the situation and requirement of international relief and the reconstruction progress in damaged areas. The free transportation service is provided by Yang Ming from all direct calling ports at top priority in order to move needed equipments and temporary houses to Taiwan for people who have survived the disaster.'
