Taiwanese carrier Yangming Marine Transport has added a ninth weekly
container service between Asia and North America, by taking space on China Ocean Shipping
Co.’s new China Northeast transpacific service.
The new COSCO-operated service was scheduled to make its inaugural call at
the Chinese port of Dalian on Sunday (May 23).
The vessels also call Xingang; Qingdao; Kobe; Vancouver; British
Columbia; Long Beach and Dalian again.
Yangming now provides seven weekly container services between the West Coast
of North America and Asia in cooperation with COSCO and "K" Line. It also has
two weekly links between the U.S. East Coast and Asia: One is routed via the Suez Canal,
in cooperation with COSCO, and the other
transits the Panama Canal and is operated jointly with Hanjin Shipping.
