Yusen Logistics has established a sister corporation in Cambodia and will begin operations in the area Nov. 1.
While the freight forwarder has had a major presence in the country since an office opened in Phnom Penh in 2011, recent growth has made it possible to spin off the Yusen Logistics (Cambodia) company, officials said. According to Yusen’s results, ocean cargo volumes have grown by 30 percent, year over year, while air cargo activity has also been increasing.
Future plans include a further strengthening of its cross-border trucking network to Vietnam via Thailand and Cambodia and the establishment of chilled and refrigerated services.
