Yusen opens logistics center in Myanmar

The new facility features temperature-controlled storage areas as well as a vehicle yard to storage, inspections and customs procedures, according to third-party provider Yusen Logistics.    Yusen Logistics has opened a logistics center in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone in Myanmar.
   The 68,000 square-foot facility features temperature-controlled storage areas as well as an assembled vehicle yard for vehicle storage, pre-delivery inspections and customs procedures. The facility will be utilized as a base to offer “a variety of storage and delivery methods for cross-border trade between Thailand and Myanmar,” said the company. 
   “This logistics center will be a cornerstone of our logistics business in Myanmar and an important part of our global network including the connection to surrounding countries,” said Kenji Mizushima, president of Yusen Logistics.
   “We can provide full logistics service from this center which has 68,000 square feet of warehouse space, including temperature control and bonded areas, together with an assembled vehicles yard area. We will contribute to the development of the Myanmar economy by providing high-quality logistics service that meets our customer’s needs,” said Mizushima.
   Yusen Logistics provides supply chain solutions for air, sea and land transportation networks. The company has recently expanded its vehicle network by upgrading its auto services and transportation solutions team in Mexico as well as acquiring European automotive logistics provider Derby.
