Zakkour moves to Tompkins Associates
Tompkins Associates has hired strategic market planning and sourcing expert Michael Zakkour as a principal to its Asian and European division, Tompkins International and subsidiary China, Technomic Asia.
Zakkour was managing director of ChinaBright Star LLC and vice president of Beijing-Gongmei, a manufacturing conglomerate in China. He has provided strategic and sourcing advice to more than 100 multinational firms.
The Raleigh, N.C.-based supply chain consulting firm said it has experienced an increase in projects and interest in China from overseas firms during the past year.
