ZEABORN buys five cargo vessels from Rickmers Holding

The title to the heavy-lift cargo vessels will pass to the ZEABORN Group by the end of September, but they are already available to the shipping company without any restrictions.

Bremen, Germany-based ZEABORN Group, an integrated shipping company operating globally in the maritime multi-purpose segment, signed contracts to purchase five heavy-lift cargo vessels from Rickmers Holding last Monday, ZEABORN said today.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 30,000-dwn superflex heavy-lift vessels include the Rickmers Singapore, Rickmers Jakarta, Rickmers New Orleans, Rickmers Seoul and Rickmers Dalian.
Ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting shows the five vessels serve on Rickmers-Linie’s Pearl String, operating from North Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Asia, The East Coast of North America and back to North Europe.
The five vessels are all sister ships to the previously acquired Rickmers Hamburg.
The title to the vessels will pass to ZEABORN by the end of September, but they are already available to the shipping company without any restrictions.
ZEABORN already took over the business operations of Rickmers-Linie earlier this year, with the contract being signed in February and the acquisition closing in April.
