Zepol launches import compliance tool

   Zepol Corp., a trade intelligence company based in Edina, Minn., has released its newest trade data tool, ComplianceIQ, to help U.S. importers comply with government import regulations.
   The tool bridges multiple import-compliance datasets in a unified interface in hopes of bringing as much information to the customer as possible for specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes.
   Zepol said users can view product classifications, search by binding rulings, tariffs, quotas, antidumping duties, and other information sets to facilitate trade, select import opportunities, and reduce the risk of penalties.
   ComplianceIQ also includes information like how a competitor will classify its existing products, how a company can classify its own products, and a system to show due-diligence if an audit occurs.
   The service also supports governmental updates, allowing managers to monitor these updates through scheduled email reports.
   Zepol also operates a series of other subscription tools like the Trade IQ import Bill of Lading database that customers use to find information on competitors, suppliers, prospects, and products. The company counts more than 1,000 subscribers.
