Zim adds Mumbai to EMX service

Israeli ocean carrier Zim said Thursday it has changed the port rotation of its East Med Express service (EMX) to include westbound and eastbound calls at Nhava Sheva, India’s biggest container port.

   The service, which uses 14 vessels, will also now call the Russian port of Novorossiysk (instead of Illichevsk) as well as the Turkish Ports of Istanbul (Evya) on the westbound leg and Istanbul (Kumport) on the eastbound leg.

   The first ship to call Nhava Sheva will be the Zim Yokohama, which departs from Busan Feb. 24. The new port rotation for EMX will be Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Suez, Haifa, Evyap Port, Iz, Novorossiysk, Constanta, Ambarli, Istan, Haifa, Suez, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Port Kelang, Shekou and Pusan.
