Zim alters Asia/Med loop vessels, sizes    The service parameters of liner carrier Zim's reinstated Asia/Mediterranean loop have apparently changed since the line announced in mid-March that the service was restarting.
   As American Shipper reported March 16, Zim said it would recommence its AME service on April 7 using 12 ships with an average size of 3,800 TEUs.
   However, research from American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data shows the service will be operated with 11 ships averaging 3,393 TEUs.
   Additionally, there's a slight discrepancy in the rotation Zim announced for the AME and what ComPair Data researchers found. According to ComPair Data, the rotation will be Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Colombo, Mumbai, Haifa, Ashdod, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Alexandria, Limasso, Haifa, Ashdod, Colombo and Shanghai. Zim's rotation did not include the westbound call at Colombo.
