ZIM, MSC cooperating on India-Mediterranean trade

New alignment called “a major enhancement” for ZIM’s customers.

   ZIM and MSC on Thursday announced a new cooperation they say will offer “a fast and reliable connection” between India and East Mediterranean ports.
   ZIM said the new cooperation is scheduled to begin in the second half of October.
   The ZII – ZIM India Israel Service will have the rotation Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Haifa and will be westbound only.
   The ZIE – ZIM India East Med Express will have the rotation Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Colombo – Port Said West – Mersin – Piraeus- Istanbul – Mersin – Iskenderun – Mundra.
   “This new alignment is a major enhancement for ZIM customers on the trade, benefiting from a wide range of direct calls and improved transit time,” the company said in Thursday’s announcement.
