Executive Moves: Florida Ports Council, Busan Port Authority and Con-way Freight

Florida Ports Council appoints 2015-2016 leadership and the Busan Port Authority names CEO, while Con-way Freight promotes VP of western area sales.    The Florida Ports Council has elected its officers for 2015-2016: Paul Anderson, chief executive officer for Port Tampa Bay, as chairman; Steve Cernak of Port of Everglades as vice-chairman; and Port Canaveral CEO John Walsh as secretary-treasurer. The council represents Florida’s 15 public seaports.

The Busan Port Authority has appointed Woo Ye-jong to chief executive officer. Prior to his appointment, Woo worked in a range of Korean government maritime roles, including director general for shipping policy, assistant minister for marine policy and director-general for Northeast Asia logistics hub promotion. He succeeded Lim Ki-tack who will take over as secretary general at the International Maritime Organization in January.

Con-way Freight has promoted Jill A. Bixby to vice president of western area sales. She has worked for the less-than-truckload carrier for 17 years. In her new role, she oversees sales for Con-way Freight’s western area, which includes the 11 states in the western United States, as well as North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Texas.
