Executive moves: Con-way Multimodal, East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, and Daseke

Con-way Multimodal names sales director and Safeway Trucking appoints VP, while Kennedy/Jenks picks hires consultant and Daseke adds board members.    Con-way Multimodal, the freight brokerage division of Menlo Logistics, has named Michael R. Kucinski director of sales. Prior to that, Kucinski was director of human resources for Con-way Freight since 2009. He started at Con-way Freight in 1991.

   East Coast Warehouse & Distribution has appointed Ed Cole vice president of its transportation arm, Safeway Trucking. He joined the company in 2009 after holding various positions at DHL and Comet Delivery Service.
   Kennedy/Jenks Consultants has hired Heather Wood as its ports area market leader. She joined the firm from the Port of Virginia, where she worked since 2001. She was most recently the port’s director of sustainability and before that was vice president of government affairs.

   Trucking company Daseke has elected Laura H. Wright, retired chief financial officer of Southwest Airlines, to its board of directors. Also recently, the company added Tom Hund, retired executive vice president and CFO of BNSF Railway, to its board.
