Executive Moves: Port of Stockton, Hong Kong Shipowners Association, APEC and Cargotec

Port of Stockton names marketing manager and the Hong Kong Shipowners Association elects officers, while APEC reappoints secretariat executive director and Cargotec names IT VP.    Port of Stockton has appointed Pete Grossgart as marketing manager. He comes to the Northern California port comes with more than 18 years of maritime industry experience, having worked for Swire Shipping and most recently at Marine Terminals Corp./Ports America as vice president of sales for the U.S. West Coast with a focus on bulk, breakbulk, and military cargoes.

   Sabrina Chao of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holding Ltd. was elected chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association. J.B. Rae-Smith of China Navigation Co. Ltd. was also elected as deputy chairman, Zhang Liang of COSCO (Hong Kong) Group Ltd. was re-elected as ordinary member-vice chairman and Alastair MacAulay of Clifford Chance was elected as associate member-vice chairman. 

   Alan Bollard has been reappointed executive director of the APEC Secretariat, the coordinating and technical advisory body for advancing the joint initiatives of the 21 APEC member economies. He has served as APEC Secretariat executive director since 2013. He joined the secretariat as executive director after 10 years as governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as well as serving as its Treasury Secretary and Commerce Commission chairman. 

   Lasse Eriksson has been appointed vice president of digitalization at marine terminal cargo-handling equipment manufacturer Cargotec. Before joining Cargotec, he worked at Konecranes as a technology program manager, and prior to that, at Aalto University, Finland, where he coordinated research of wireless automation and wireless sensor systems.
