Executive Moves: Cathay Pacific and Matchback Systems

Cathay Pacific appoints new head of cargo, while Matchback Systems names IT director.    Cathy Pacific has appointed Simon Large to director of cargo, which includes operations, marketing and sales. He succeeds James Woodrow, who will become managing director at the China Navigation Co. Pte Ltd. Large and was formerly the airline’s general manager for marketing. He joined the airline’s parent Swire in 1991 and has worked at a variety of management posts within Cathay Pacific, as well as at Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals and tea importer Finlays, part of Swire group.

   MatchBack Systems has named Tammy Leurquin director of IT. Prior to joining the company, she led program and system development for companies such as Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Schneider National and Rockwell Automation.
