Schneider has named Mark Rourke executive vice president and chief operating officer. Rourke joined Schneider in 1987. During his 28 years with the company, he has held a variety of leadership positions, including president of Truckload Services, general manager of Schneider Transportation Management, vice president of customer service, and director of driver training.
Jeffrey W. Jones has been named president of U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems, succeeding Kurt Adams, who left the bank earlier this month. Prior to this appointment, Jones was head of the Minneapolis-based bank’s Global Treasury Management group since 2001. A 32-year U.S. Bank veteran, Jones has been head of its Global Treasury Management group since 2001. His appointment is effective today. Jones joined the bank in 1983.
NYK Ports has appointed Brian Johnson director of business development. Based in Los Angeles, he will help develop strategies to expand the businesses of NYK Ports, Ceres Terminals and Yusen Terminals. Johnson joins NYK Ports from Metropolitan Stevedoring Co., where he was vice president of business development.
United Kingdom-based Associated British Ports has named Simon Bird director of Humber. The four Humber ports include Hull, Goole, Grimsby and Immingham. Bird joins ABP from the Bristol Port Co., where he was chief executive for the past 15 years.
