Executive Moves: Swiss World Cargo, IJS Global, CEVA and JAXPORT

Swiss World Cargo lands new cargo head, while new managers are appointed within IJS Global and CEVA, and JAXPORT names new board members.    Ashwin Bhat has been named SWISS’s new head of cargo, effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Oliver Evans, who is stepping down from the post. Bhat is currently head of global area management at SWISS’s Swiss WorldCargo division. He joined Swiss WorldCargo in 2002. 

   Freight forwarder IJS Global has appointed Dave Minnebach as ocean freight director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company also named Jean-Luc Demoulin branch manager for Luxembourg and Michael Leentjes branch manager in Rotterdam. Minnebach brings over a decade of experience in container shipping, including management roles with Hapag-Lloyd. Leentjes has held management positions at DB Schenker and FedEx, while Demoulin previously held logistics roles within the pharmaceutical industry. 
  
   CEVA Logistics has appointed Philip Griffiths as contract logistics business development director for the Iberia region. He joined CEVA from Kuehne + Nagel, where he was lead logistics solutions manager in Spain for the last six years.

   The Jacksonville Port Authority has elected a new slate officers to its board for one-year terms, starting July 1. They include John Allen Newman, senior pastor of The Sanctuary at Mt. Calvary church, as chairman; Robert F. Spohrer, president of Spohrer & Dodd, as vice chairman; James P. Citrano, retired managing director of CBRE Group’s Jacksonville office, as treasurer; and Ed Fleming, retired chief executive officer and president of Atlantic Marine Holding Co., as secretary. 
   Other members of the 2015-2016 JAXPORT board include immediate past chairman John Falconetti, president of The Drummond Press Inc.; Joe York, president of AT&T Florida, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands; and Former Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, president and CEO, Soderberg Solutions.
