In today’s edition, trailer manufacturers won a key court battle this week that will delay emissions compliance regulations that could have added thousands to the cost of a new trailer. Plus, TuSimple adds a legal heavyweight to its executive team, and between barbs Trump and Biden managed to discuss electric vehicles.

A former acting administrator for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has joined autonomous vehicle startup TuSimple as chief legal and risk officer.
