CBP eyes 21st century trade environment

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will seek industry input on how to best position its operations to meet future changes to trade during March 1 meeting.

No one knows for sure how international trade will evolve during the rest of the century, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection wants to better position its operations for those potential outcomes.
On March 1, CBP will hold “The 21st Century Customs Framework” in Washington, D.C., where it will seek input from the industry regarding emerging roles in the global supply chain, intelligent enforcement, cutting-edge technology, data access and sharing, 21st century processes and self-funded customs infrastructure.
