CBP seeks additional industry input on future

The agency has extended the comment period for its “21st Century Customs Framework” initiative through April 11.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has extended the comment period until April 11 to receive industry recommendations on how best to steer its regulatory and operational oversight of cross-border trade during the century.
The agency has called this initiative the “21st Century Customs Framework,” which considers emerging roles in the global supply chain, intelligent enforcement, cutting-edge technology, data access and sharing, 21st century processes and self-funded customs infrastructure.
CBP held a public meeting on the framework in Washington, D.C., on March 1.
