CEVA to manage Vermeer’s European parts distribution

CEVA Logistics said it has secured a three-year contract to manage the European parts distribution for agricultural and industrial equipment manufacturer Vermeer.

CEVA Logistics has secured a three-year contract to manage the European parts distribution for agricultural and industrial equipment manufacturer Vermeer, the company said in a statement.
Distribution will now be centralized from CEVA’s Roosendaal facility in the Netherlands.
“Operations went live this month following extensive CEVA trials, testing of all EDI interchanges, training and building interfaces with customer systems,” the logistics services provider said, adding that Vermeer’s dealers and customers should see their part order lead times reduced by 1-2 days through the new distribution management.
“This arrangement helps support our company growth and customer experience goals by positioning high-demand items at a central warehouse in the Netherlands allowing Vermeer to replenish stock parts at the dealer level in a timely manner,” said Ruben Coppoolse, the company’s parts manager. “Vermeer will also be able to facilitate EU-overnight dropship delivery to customers.”
