Brotherton also will head KPMG’s Bay Area trade and customs team from the firm’s San Francisco office, where he will be based.

“Export controls and sanctions are a growing challenge for companies, and they will only become more complicated as the U.S. establishes new controls on emerging technology and new mechanisms to scrutinize foreign investment,” said Andrew Siciliano, partner and U.S. trade and customs practice leader at KPMG. “Our expanded service offering, with new leadership and additional experienced talent, will enable us to better assist clients as they seek increased guidance and tools to help navigate today’s disruptive and constantly changing trade terrain.”

Lee has 15 years of marine insurance experience and is a license holder in most U.S. states. World Insurance Services is based in Pompano Beach, Fla.

The announcement said Lee’s “specialized background in marine cargo and freight forwarder transport liability insurance, coupled with her previous experience as Lloyd’s cover holder and strong analytical skills, make her the ideal candidate to serve as World Insurance Services’ CEO.”
