The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received nine ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from AFCO Shipping, Pompano Beach, Fla. (Avi Nir, manager); and Promptus, Miramar, Fla. (Julio Desangles, manager).
The agency also received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from J. Verola Customs Broker and Logistics, Newark, N.J. (Justin R. Verola, president); and Kronoz Internacional, Houston (Claudia F. Lasheras Lopez, secretary).
In addition, the FMC received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Alpi U.S.A., Jamaica, N.Y. (Jonathan S. McFadden, chief executive officer); and United Stone Global Logistics, Pasadena, Calif. (Linneke “Linn” Puspasari, president); for the addition of trade names, Seabridge Lamprecht from American Lamprecht Transport, Lawrence, Ky. (Martin Kaegi, vice president of compliance); and Pro Global Logistics from XPI Services, Sachse, Texas (Roger Soudir, managing member); and for a name change to UWL from United World Line, Cleveland (Duncan Wright, president).
Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C., at (202) 523-5843. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) – both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs – are also available on the FMC website.
