MSC starts new service from Asia to Middle East

The ocean carrier’s “New Falcon” service will offer direct sailings instead of transshipments through Singapore.

MSC will start a new dedicated service between Asia and the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent.
The “New Falcon” service will employ eight ships with nominal capacity of 8,000 TEUs and will have the following port rotation: Xingang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Chiwan, Tanjug
Pelepas, Singapore, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Jubail, Jebel Ali,
Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Singapore, Nansha, and back to Xingang.
“Cargo which was booked to sail onboard our previous transshipment via Singapore will now be shipped directly to Middle East,” said MSC. The carrier said the New Falcon service will improve transit times. For example, transit time to Jebel Ali from Xingang will be 24 days; from Shanghai, 20 days; from Chiwan, 15 days; and from Singapore, 10 days.
The first sailing of the service will be with the MSC Pamela, departing Xingang on March 20th, according to a statement from MSC.
