United Arab Shipping Co. has appointed Stuart Sandlin president of its North American organization.
“Sandlin will be responsible for spearheading UASC’s ambitious growth plans in North America,” the Dubai-based liner carrier said in a statement.
Prior to joining UASC, Sandlin was senior vice president of sales and customer service for the Americas at Hapag-Lloyd America. He also previously held management positions at third party logistics services providers Danzas, BAX Global, and Expeditors.
“We recognize that there is a gap in high quality service in the liner shipping marketplace today,” Sandlin said. “UASC aims to close this gap by ensuring our customers get proactive communication, timely and accurate documentation and invoices, and swift problem resolution.”
UASC has made other changes in its corporate leadership this year, including the July appointments of Nabeel Al-Amudi as chairman and Ali bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al-Thani as vice chairman.
