Executive Moves: WFS and CAGTC

Worldwide Flight Services has announced several corporate appointments, while the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade corridors has re-elected four directors to the board.    Air cargo handler Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is dividing its Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia (EMEAA) regions into two service product regions – cargo and ground handling. John Batten will lead WFS’ cargo operations as executive vice president for EMEAA. Will Facey will join WFS on Aug. 28 as executive vice president of ground handling operations for EMEAA. Facey is currently the head of network operations at EasyJet.
   Barry Nassberg has been appointed group chief commercial officer, reporting to Craig Smyth. Nassberg, who was formerly group chief operating officer, will be responsible for leading and coordinating WFS’ network commercial activities.
   Justin Jaques has been named senior vice president of group commercial. Jacques, who was formerly vice president, Asia and the Middle East, will report to Nassberg, focusing on global key accounts and major tenders.
   Catherine Thomas has been appointed general counsel and head of legal. Thomas has 25 years of legal experience, acquired in the United Kingdom and France.

   The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC),a freight advocacy organization, re-elected four directors to the board, which include:
     • John Creighton, co-chair, Northwest Seaport Alliance;
     • Kerry Cartwright, director of goods movement, Port of Los Angeles;
     • John Greuling, president and chief executive officer, Will County Center for Economic Development;
     • And Bob Ledoux, vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Florida East Coast Railway.
