Executive Moves: Advent Intermodal and Soy Transportation Coalition

Advent Intermodal Solutions appoints newly created role of chief strategy officer, while the Soy Transportation Coalition elects new chairman and officers.    Advent Intermodal Solutions has hired Allen Thomas to the newly created position of chief strategy officer. He will be responsible for leading the company’s long-term strategic planning, including product positioning, business development and industry partnerships.
   Prior to joining Advent, Thomas held a variety of leadership positions at Crux Systems, a technology startup aimed at reducing congestion and increasing cargo velocity in U.S. ports.

   The Soy Transportation Coalition (STC) has elected Gerry Hayden as chairman, Mike Bellar as vice chairman, and Joel Schreurs as secretary-treasurer. Hayden served as the STC vice chairman from 2015 to 2016 and secretary-treasurer from 2013 to 2014, while Bellar served as secretary-treasurer from 2015 to 2016.
   In addition, former chairmen Ed Ulch and Scott Gauslow have retired from the STC board due to term limitations.
