Despite already wrestling with a challenging trucking industry, the situation is growing increasingly tougher as the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread. As capacity goes through a state of flux, and the shipping community gets challenged with matching capacity with oscillating inventory and manufacturing challenges, the country’s trucking community will continue to find solutions.

This industry is truly a day-to-day and week-to-week supply and demand market. The resilience of this industry has been tested in the past, and the results have always been some form of success, and I believe this will also prove true in the current situation. While in uncharted waters for the short term, I have faith, that we will get through this monumental challenge as well.

TCA’s Truckload Indexes is reprinting some articles which restate the need for our us to keep an eye on our costs and thus the gross margin inside our business. As we work through these turbulent waters, the industry is still moving America.
