Bryson plans trade mission to India

Newly minted U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson will lead his first trade mission on March 25-30 to India, focusing on infrastructure opportunities.
India plans to invest about $1 trillion in infrastructure during the next five years.
“Selling more made-in-USA infrastructure products to India will help U.S. companies grow and hire more people while helping India meet its ambitious goals to dramatically improve it roads, railway and bridges,” Bryson said in a statement.
The mission will highlight infrastructure export opportunities for U.S. businesses involved with project management and engineering services, including architecture and design; transportation, including roads/highways, rail, airports and intelligent transportation systems; and energy, including distribution, and transmission and smart grid.
Applications for companies interested in participating in the mission can be completed on-line at the India Infrastructure Business Development Mission Website, or can be obtained by contacting the Commerce Department’s Office of Business Liaison at (202) 482-1360 or [email protected]. The application deadline is Jan. 25.
