Executive Moves: USA Truck, Day & Ross, NxtPort and ECS Group

USA Truck hires vice president, revenue operations, Day & Ross appoints president and CEO, NxtPort names new chief technology officer, and ECS Group nominates CEO.

USA Truck hires vice president, revenue operations, Day & Ross appoints president and CEO, NxtPort names new chief technology officer, and ECS Group nominates CEO.

   USA Truck Inc. hired Rick Hainlen as vice president, revenue operations. Hainlen previously served as director of yield management and network optimization at Red Classic Transportation Services. He has held similar positions with P.A.M. Transportation, Celadon Group, CFI and Anderson Trucking Service.

   Day & Ross Inc. appointed Bill Doherty as its new president and chief executive officer, succeeding John Doucet, who will retire June 30. Doherty joined Day & Ross on Oct. 3, 2016 as part of the leadership transition plan. He joined FedEx in 1984, and during his tenure with the parcel giant, he held numerous positions, including managing director northeast district (air and ground), managing director retail operations, and vice president of global operations. In addition to his 25-year career with FedEx, he held executive-level roles with Greatwide Logistics Services, Omniflight Helicopters Inc., New Breed Logistics, Inc., Warehouse86 Ventures, LLC, and Transervice Logistics Inc.

   NxtPort has named Hans Verbeeck as its new chief technology officer. Verbeeck began his career in IT as a developer, and worked for Microsoft the past 15 years in various national and international functions.

   ECS Group has nominated Adrien Thominet, the current chief operating officer, as the CEO, which is currently being held by Bertrand Schmoll, who will continue to be the chairman of the group. Thominet started his career in New York as commercial director at FICOFI, and then worked for UniFrance Film in Tokyo, where he managed the Yokohama Film Festival. He joined ECS Group in 1995 as commercial manager of the company’s AeroCargo business unit, where he subsequently became managing director. In 2009, he took on the reins of the commercial development of the group, and in 2011, he was appointed chief operating officer.
