Narvar acquires Indian logistics startup

Software-as-a-service firm Narvar said the acquisition of GoPigeon will play a key role in advancing its global product development and seeding its market position in the Asia-Pacific region.

San Francisco-based Narvar, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) firm, has acquired Indian logistics startup GoPigeon.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition of GoPigeon, an end-to-end logistics management SaaS platform that was founded in 2015, advances Narvar’s platform development with additional engineering talent, Narvar said.
“GoPigeon’s India-based team will play a key role in advancing Narvar’s global product development and seeding its market position in the Asia-Pacific region,” Narvar explained.
“Having grown our business in North America, we are now well-positioned to scale our platform to international markets,” Narvar Founder & CEO Amit Sharma said.
Narvar serves a client base of over 400 brands and retailers. The company has experienced significant growth in the last 12 months, and since the start of 2017, it has added over 100 new customers.
“This growth is being driven in part by Narvar’s investment in product development, notably targeted at emerging consumer channels including AI-powered chatbots,” the company explained. “Narvar powers bots on Facebook Messenger for 370 retailers, which have facilitated 3.8 million incremental brand interactions within months of launch.”
