South Carolina International Trade conference postponed

Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Irma, the trade conference held annually in Charleston will be postponed until Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

   South Carolina, along with the states of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, has issued a State of Emergency due to the impending threat of Hurricane Irma.
   As a result, the S.C. International Trade conference in Charleston, previously scheduled for Sept. 11-13, has been postponed. The 2017 conference will be moved to Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and remain at the Gaillard Center.
   Currently, all of the keynote speakers will be in attendance at the rescheduled conference, including Frank Abagnale, Merril Hoge, and Nariman Behravesh, the according to a statement from the conference committee.
   Additionally, The Propeller Club of Charleston Board of Governors has postponed the State of the Port Address scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11, 2017. A future date for the address has yet to be determined.
