TNT expands European network

The integrator has unveiled air service to Hanover and is building a facility in the Netherlands.

TNT is beefing up its European network by expanding air services to Germany and building a 6,350-square-foot international depot in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
TNT has started offering five weekly Boeing 737-400 freighter flights to Hanover from the company’s hub in Liege. With the service, TNT is hoping to appeal to companies in the automotive and industrial sectors who need to ship time-critical parts.
“Hanover is a convenient gateway to northern Germany, including the towns of Hamburg, Bremen and Magdeburg. The daily overnight flight from Liege to Hanover Langenhagen Airport enables delivery of urgent shipments to the region before 9 a.m.,” according to TNT. “After reloading, the flight continues to Denmark. The flight from Hanover to Liege, which originates from Oslo, departs Hanover every night, allowing for late collections in northern Germany and next-day delivery all over Europe.”
The new facility, which will be completed in June, replaces a rental space that was becoming too small, officials said.
