    It isn’t brokers vs truckers. It’s middlemen vs leveraged front line contractor.

    Compare overhead and monthly expenses. Compare what % is left.

    Many brokers don’t have an after-hours staff, so any problems or issues with customers have to be dealt with in-house. Also, some customers use lumper services, who are paid hourly and just above minimum wage, so they’re in no hurry to receive freight. They don’t seem to be concerned about our hours.
