The planes will fly on routes from Europe to Atlanta, Chicago and New York. The airline is buying five 777s from Boeing. The planes have capacity for 103 tons of cargo and can fly without refueling for 10.5 hours.

   As much as 1,400 tons of molasses, or about 233,000 gallons of the liquid, may have entered the Honolulu Harbor, triggering a massive fishkill. Matson located a leak in their molasses pipeline near Pier 52 and patched it.

The official steel cutting ceremony for the fourth generation or “G4” ships took place this week at the Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding’s new shipyard on Chungxing Island near Shanghai. The five ships are scheduled for delivery in 2015.
