A federal grand jury has indicted a former employee of a North Carolina-based trucking company, alleging she defrauded her employer of more than $900,000.

A former accounting employee of a New Mexico-based trucking company pleaded guilty in federal court to embezzling more than $1.1 million from her employer over a seven-year period.

Tracy Cox pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud in federal court on Nov. 22, admitting she orchestrated an elaborate money transfer scheme to defraud the Indiana-based trucking company out of nearly $382,000.
