FreightWaves LIVE: Are you using tech effectively? — WHAT THE TRUCK?!?

Four companies with tech to help navigate logistics

FreightTech is the word of the day on FreightWaves LIVE @HOME and on this episode of WHAT THE TRUCK?!? Dooner and The Dude hit their quota for using it.

They examine how FreightTech is continuing to evolve and push the industry forward, even when it is not being used to its full potential. The guys welcome four guests to the show, each with a unique perspective on tech in the industry.

First up is Prasad Gollapalli, founder and CEO of Trucker Tools, and he talks about why his company is shooting to be an essential tool for 3PLs and brokerages no matter the size of the business. Gollapalli explains that everyone, from the driver in the seat to the company CEO, can benefit from the adaptation of technology into day-to-day operations.

Reliance Partners CFO and CRO Thom Albrecht breaks down all things insurance. Albrecht explains why he thinks the Port of Laredo is the next hot spot for both freight flows and insurance activity, especially as cross-border flows increase in frequency.

Angela Mancuso, vice president of human resources at AIT Worldwide Logistics, lays out why the hiring environment is increasingly difficult right now as employee expectations are changing and employers attempt to adapt to those changes.

Although Hubtek had a technology demonstration during LIVE @HOME, Joel McGinley, the company’s co-owner and managing director, took time to explain how Hubtek is helping businesses change quickly to adapt to new challenges in the logistics industry.
