On August 21, 2018, J.B. Hunt announced the release of their large-scale rewards program for drivers, 360 Perks. Compatible with J.B. Hunt’s preexisting app, Carrier 360, the new incentive gives users access to various benefits from companies like SiriusXM, Pilot Flying J, and Goodyear Tire and Rubber products.

John Roberts, president and CEO at J.B. Hunt stated: “This program focuses on providing carriers and their drivers with great opportunities to succeed. J.B. Hunt 360 Perks brings together J.B. Hunt, a leader in the transportation industry, and three of the biggest names in their respective trades to create what we believe is the best and most comprehensive rewards program available. This program includes discounts on brands and services carriers use every day,” Roberts concluded.

As FreightWaves reported in July, J.B. Hunt 360 is the largest digital broker in the market, bigger than Convoy, Uber, Transfix, and all the others. In the second quarter, J.B. Hunt reported that 360 is on an annual run-rate of $520M in revenue. This could represent as much as 50% of the entire digital brokerage market.”

According to J.B. Hunt, “carriers and their drivers can receive fuel discounts, Pilot myRewards® points, discounts on SiriusXM truck radios, and complimentary SiriusXM subscriptions by purchasing diesel fuel at participating Pilot and Flying J locations in the United States using a J.B. Hunt 360 fuel card.” Users are also eligible for discounts on preventive maintenance, labor, parts, and tires from Pilot Flying J Truck Care and discounts on Goodyear products and services.

Upon the release of J.B. Hunt 360, the company’s CEO John Roberts noted the importance of staying current in a rapidly evolving ecosystem—particularly one in which companies like Uber Freight and Convoy have entered into the digital marketplace. “Technology is a huge force propelling us into the future,” says John Roberts, president and CEO of J.B. Hunt. “Customers are demanding greater visibility and information into their supply chain in real time. J.B. Hunt 360 is our comprehensive solution to meet that demand, combining J.B. Hunt’s 55 years of operational excellence with the latest technology available in the industry.”

The Carrier 360 app has proven to be a major area of growth for J.B. Hunt, and, according to a press release from the company, “the total reported Integrated Capacity Solutions revenue in Q1 and Q2 of 2018, approximately $233 million was executed through the marketplace for J.B. Hunt 360.”
