Fuel increases trigger Lufthansa surcharge
Lufthansa Cargo said it is raising its fuel surcharge, a key industry benchmark, from .20 euros (24 cents) to .25 euros (30 cents) per kilo, effective June 7. The move is a reaction to the rising cost of oil and jet fuel prices.
The surcharge increase is pegged to an established index based on prices in five key fuel markets.
